New Wraith Hop-Ups from Axial

Axial shot out a press release earlier in the week about some new hop-up parts for the Wraith. Of particular interest to the Wraith owners I talked to about the release were the new link mounts and the new diff cover.

The new aluminum link mounts offer a wide variety of mounting positions, allowing users to fine tune their wheelbase. These will list for $35 for a pair of the mounts.

The new billet aluminum diff cover is low profile and will slide over rocks easier than the stock cover. These will be sold in packages of one, and will retail for $35.

No word on ETA for these yet, but we'll post when we find out.

R/C Car Rims & Tires: 20% Off Thru 12/17/11

The first Rim/Tire Sale we did was a big success, which meant we had to bring it back. Stop in and put osm paddle tires on your R/C truck just in time for the snow to start falling, or replace those worn out tires with something fresh. Pro-Line, JConcepts, DE Racing... it's all on sale.

And just like last time, any special orders placed and paid for during the course of the sale will receive the same discount - so if we don't have the tires you're looking for, we'll be happy to order them in for you, and you still save money! What could be better?

Traxxas XO-1: Champagne Price for Beer Budget Market

In the world of dubious products, there are many standouts. In the R/C Car realm, Traxxas' newest entry might be that standout. Dubbed the "XO-1", the new 1/7th scale supercar can go from 0 to 100mph in under 5 seconds. It comes with an all new drivetrain, motor, and ESC, as well as two 5000mAh 3-cell LiPo batteries in the box.

Traxxas' newest radio comes with it as well, allowing users to plug in their iPhone or iPod Touch and get real-time telemetry on their radios. Cool if you own one of the said devices, but Android users will be left in the cold. And the punchline? All this can be yours for the low, low price of $1,099.99. Don't count on seeing these on the shelves - this supercar is special order only.

We're now an authorized retailer for the popular AR.Drone! It's the quadcopter that's flown not with a traditional transmitter, but with your iPhone or Android phone! The technology in this helicopter is amazing - two cameras beam the video to the screen of your phone, the gyro stabilization is some of the best I've ever seen, and it's designed for both indoor & outdoor flight. It runs a reasonable $299.99, considering all the equipment it has.

It's a little unpredicible to fly here in close-quarters environment of the store), but on nice days, we'll be demoing it out in the parking lot for sure. And I think we'll bring one along to the Ryder Center next time to try it out there. Stop in and check them out today!
