My thoughts and reflections on the iHobby Expo 2012 have been posted on our store's blog. Entitled "iHobby 2012: Where Are All the People?", I talk about who was (and wasn't) at the show, and some of the products I thought were highlights. Also included is a video of the new ECX Revenge buggy with yours truly at the steering wheel. At least I didn't break it!
Today's the day! Roger and I are leaving town to head to Cleveland for the iHobby Expo! Along the way, we'll be stopping at some other hobby shops to see how they're doing and be cordial and such. That should be fun!
The show start tomorrow morning, so be sure to follow us on either Facebook or Twitter for the most up-to-date information and pictures. And let's see how many of my 10 Things I Want to See at iHobby stack up!
See you in a few days!
I'm excited to announce that Roger and I will be travelling to the iHobby Expo next week! We will be gone Wednesday, October 10th through Friday, October 12th. The store will continue to be open during this time.
I'm really excited for this trip. It's been two years since we went to the last one in Chicago. I can't wait to see all the cool new stuff from Horizon, Traxxas, and Great Planes. Make sure to follow us on Facebook and/or Twitter, as I'll be updating the feeds with pictures during that time.
Another iHobby product announcement is the re-designed Blade mSR x! This little guy was incredibly popular in it's first iteration, and if the advancements made on the new one are any indicator, the mSR X will be a holiday hit as well! It packs E-Flite's new AS3X stabilization system, which includes a flybarless 3-axis digital MEMS sensor to achieve best-in-class stability and responsivness. Did you hear that? It's flybarless!
The mSR X will be available in both Ready-To-Fly ($149.99) and Bind-N-Fly Basic ($119.99) versions. It's due to launch mid-December, so there won't be much time before the holidays to pick one up. Pre-orders are welcome!
