Our Testors Acrylic Rack is Refilled!

2018-10-20 16.26.23.jpg

Some of you, over the last few months, have pointed out our Testors acrylic rack had begun to look a little… empty. This was a direct result of Hobbico’s demise in April — we bought our paint from them, and Horizon continually refuses to sell it by the bottle like Hobbico did, and since we don’t sell enough acrylic paint to justify stocking six of each color at the same time, the rack went without restocking for the entire summer.

Until, that is, we signed up with a new distributor. Heartland Hobby Wholesale, located in Nebraska, has plenty of general hobby products for us to order, and they sell Testors by the bottle — which means our racks are full again! We’re happy to add Heartland to our expanding roster of vendors, and if you’re a Testors acrylic fan, you should be happy too!

New Vendor: Cobble Hill Puzzle Company

We recently picked up a new vendor: the Cobble Hill Puzzle Company. Their puzzles use "the finest inks and varnishes" and "feature linen textured paper and premium grade blue board, and use 100% recycled chipboard". We received two dozen new puzzles from Cobble Hill last week, with various subject matter. They are available in multiple piece counts, though the average is 1,000 pieces. They also have 275 piece puzzles with larger pieces for easier handling, great for kids and the elderly.

Cobble Hill's puzzles range from $14.99 to $15.99.

We Welcome Avid R/C to Our List of Vendors

I'm pleased to announce that we are now a dealer for Avid R/C products! Some of you have asked us about their products, and we looked into them. They are pleasant to deal with, and are quick to ship - two qualities we like in our vendors. And they have some pretty nice hardware for all you racers out there.

Unfortunately, this doesn't mean we'll be regularly carrying their products (other than perhaps bearings) on the shelf. But what this does mean is that you can place your Avid R/C orders with us now. We do have a $100 minimum order to meet, but that shouldn't be terribly difficult. So for all you guys running the Triad slipper clutches, you can get your rebuild kits through us! Great news!
