A Post-Rewards Era

We started our Rewards program back in September of last year. Now that we’ve been implementing the program for seven and a half months, however, we have found that the program isn’t having the desired effect for our business, and, as of today, we will be starting a process to discontinue our Rewards program.

Through how our customers used the program, we’ve heard loud and clear that the program was not a driving force behind sales. It didn’t generate additional revenue for us, or even increased foot traffic in the store.

We have been in business for more than thirty years, offering the best products, service, and support that we could, and we will continue to do that. With our Rewards program, we ran an experiment to see if something like it could work in our store. Unfortunately, it seems the answer is no, and the service was ultimately unsustainable.

All that having been said, I’m sure you would like to know what this means for you.

Effective immediately, we will not be signing any new customers up for the program. At the same time, we will not be awarding any more points to existing rewards customers for purchases. Any rewards you have earned will still be useable from now through July 31st, 2017, so make sure to use them before they are gone forever.

Additionally, everyone in the program that opted-in to the text message, push notification, or email messages will receive a one-time use coupon for $5.00 off any purchase of $5.00 or more (before tax) – equal to earning 200 in-store points. This coupon will be sent out at the beginning of July and expire thirty days thereafter.

We understand this might be disappointing to many, and while we are trying to make the transition as smooth as possible, we know there will be hiccups along the way. We can only promise to do the best we can to iron those kinks out as they arise.

Finally, we would like to express our gratitude for our customers’ continued support. We could not be here without you placing your trust in us, and we will do everything we can to continue earning that trust into the future.
