New Site Design + New Products in Stock

It's been a while since I've posted an update. It's been a busy summer so far. Lots of new products have come out, and even more have been announced for future release. There is also some news about the store’s website.

In website news, we have a new look! In keeping with the new store logo, we have re-designed the look of the website, and most of the pages have been re-coded from the ground up to load and get you the information you need faster. Some new product pages are up: R/C Rock Crawlers and Mini Electric R/C Trucks have been broken into their own sections, and we’ve added a page for our Magic: The Gathering products as well. The Chessex page has seen an update, as well as the Videos page and the Repair Services page.

Social networks are an important part of our lives now. It's how we talk to our current friends, find new ones, and connect with friends from long ago. It's also an important way we share our interests with others, and recommend products and web pages about those interests. To make it easy for you to share your hobby and the product information you find important, we've added Facebook "Like" buttons to the majority of pages on the website. There is one on our home page as well, as well as a tweet button. The more you share, the more people get exposed to these wonderful hobbies. And don't forget about our presence on Facebook, Twitter, and YouTube. And as soon as businesses are allowed on Google+, we'll be there too.

It is my hope that you find it an enjoyable experience to peruse our website. Should you have any questions or comments, please feel free to email me (webmaster [at] rogershobbycenter [dot] com). If there’s any possible way to make our website better, we’re open to suggestions!

One of the most notable new releases is from Blade. The new Blade 450 helicopter has come out, and we have one each of the Ready-to-Fly and Bind-N-Fly Basic versions on the shelf. You can get more information on our R/C Helicopter Page.

E-Flite’s newest Ultra-Micro airplane is the Sbach 342 Bind-N-Fly. It runs $169.99, and should be a great sport flyer, even outdoors. It’s the second Ultra-Micro airplane from E-Flite to sport both a 2-cell Lipo battery and a 180-size brushless motor, all crammed into an airframe that weighs less than 2 ounces. We have one of these cool little guys on the shelf as of this writing. You can get more information about this and other Ultra-Micro airplanes on our Ultra-Micro Airplane page.

Coming out later this month (if all goes well) is Parkzone’s new Ultra-Micro Pole Cat! Like most of Parkzone’s Ultra-Micro Bind-N-Fly airplanes, the Pole Cat will sell for $99.99. This Formula 1 racer will be a blast to race around the backyard or gymnasium. You can get information on this guy in the Ultra-Micro Airplanes section as well.

One more thing: If you’ve had an experience at our store that you’d like to share, please head over to our Google Places Page and write a review. Tell others your story, and help us draw more people into the hobby! Who knows: you may even find a coupon worth $5.00 in the process.
